Travis Etienne Jr.
RB - JAC - IR
Week 14 Outlook
Per Ian Rapoport, Jaguars RB Travis Etienne will undergo surgery on his foot to repair a Lisfranc injury on Thursday
After injuring himself in preseason game three, Etienne will undergo surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury in his foot. The first-round runner will miss the entire 2021 season, expect James Robinson to be a top-20 fantasy running back in his absence.
Ian Rapoport is now reporting that the Jaguars have placed rookie RB Travis Etienne on IR, officially ending his season.
This is truly devasting news for both Etienne and the Jaguars. The talented first-round RB was set to have a large role with the team from the get-go, but will now undergo surgery and then begin the arduous process of rehabbing the Lisfranc injury. Etienne should still be a late-round target in keeper leagues and is a buy-low target in Dynasty.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Jaguars RB Travis Etienne (foot) suffered a significant tear that will knock him out several months and possibly the entire season.
This is a devastating injury for the Jaguars first-round pick. Etienne suffered a Lisfranc injury that will likely end his season. He's set to have surgery soon and will hope to make it back before the end of the season, though it's unlikely. James Robinson will be a fantasy football riser in all drafts now.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Jaguars RB Travis Etienne suffered a Lisfranc injury during Monday's preseason game against the Saints.
Etienne was spotted on crutches after the game. X-rays were negative so the belief is that it's just a sprain, but further tests will be conducted on Tuesday. For now, James Robinson just became a much more interesting early-season fantasy asset.
Jaguars rookie running back Travis Etienne suffered a mid-foot sprain Monday night at New Orleans, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. He is sidelined indefinitely as he undergoes further testing.
This is a huge blow to the Jaguars and to fantasy managers who were banking on Etienne (and not James Robinson) to be the primary running back in Jacksonville. Now, Robinson's ADP should quickly rise into RB2 territory while Etienne will drop significantly as we await more news on his injury.
