Travis Etienne Jr.
RB - JAC - Questionable
The Jaguars are reportedly optimistic that Travis Etienne Jr. will be able to play on Monday night against the Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Etienne was still able to log limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday, putting him on track to being able to play this week. If he suffers any sort of setback, it'll likely be D'Ernest Johnson leading the backfield for Jacksonville.
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr., who is dealing with a chest injury, was not spotted at the open-to-media portion of practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
With the Jaguars playing on Monday night, their Thursday practice is the first of their week. His chest injury has been considered day-to-day, and his status should be tracked over the week. If he can return and participate in a limited session, it could increase confidence in his availability. If not, rookie RB Tank Bigsby could be in line for his first heavy workload, if not veteran RB D'Ernest Johnson.
Jaguars' coach Doug Pederson said Travis Etienne Jr. is considered day-to-day, but he is doing well.
Fantasy Impact
Pederson added that Etienne will be at practice on Thursday. He has an extra day to practice this week with Jacksonville playing on Monday. It seems he should be fine to play, but his status will be worth monitoring nonetheless.
Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 56 yards on 20 carries and caught 4 of 6 targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Texans.
Fantasy Impact
Etienne had another relatively modest output running the football while failing to find the end zone for a third straight game Sunday. The Texans were clearly zoned in on the Jaguars' workhorse back, limiting him to just 34 yards on 17 carries before the Jaguars' final two drives. Etienne did have his best receiving game of the past three weeks to help fantasy managers out a bit. Still, his 143 rushing yards on 43 carries (3.3 AVG) over the last three games is not cutting it. The Jaguars will certainly keep feeding Etienne the ball, and he has a good shot at rebounding in a Monday Night matchup against the Bengals in Week 13.
Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 52 yards on 14 carries and secured all three of his targets for just seven yards in Sunday's 34-14 win over the Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Etienne shouldered the load out of the backfield once again Sunday, at least until the Titans got up big heading into the final quarter. It was Trevor Lawrence and the passing attack that led the way for the offense this time with Etienne doing just enough to keep the Tennessee defense honest. Etienne will certainly have more RB1-like performances moving forward. In fact, back in Week 3, he went for 138 total yards on 23 touches against the Texans. The Jaguars will visit Houston next Sunday in a battle for the AFC South lead.
