Trayveon Williams quiet in Week 3 win

Trayveon Williams rushed for four yards on one carry in Bengals’ 19-16 win over the Rams. He also caught 0-of-2 targets in the win.

Fantasy Impact

Williams continues to operate as the backup to Joe Mixon, but is seeing limited work weekly. Fantasy managers can comfortably leave Williams on the waiver wire.

Trayveon Williams' Week 2 Performance: A Quiet Outing In Bengals' Loss

In a tightly contested Week 2 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals' running back Trayveon Williams had a quiet day, failing to make a significant impact on the ground or through the air.

Fantasy Impact

The 25-year-old back didn't register a single carry and only managed to haul in two receptions for a meager four yards. Despite the Bengals' narrow 27-24 loss, Williams' contributions were minimal at best. His season stats remain unimpressive, with only 2 carries for 7 yards and 2 receptions for 4 yards, leaving him ranked as RB52 for the week and RB62 for the season. Looking ahead, Williams and the Bengals will face off against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3, where he'll need to step up his game to improve his fantasy relevance.

Trayveon Williams sees two carries in Week 1

Trayveon Williams carried the ball twice for seven yards in a 24-3 loss to the Browns in Week 1.

Fantasy Impact

Williams was not involved in the passing attack. Fellow backup RB Chris Evans also earned two carries but he also caught his lone target in the passing game. Williams will need to establish himself as the main RB2 in Cincy to have any fantasy value moving forward.

Trayveon Williams 'still competing' to be Bengals' third-down back

Trayveon Williams (sprained ankle) is still in the mix to be the Bengals' third-down back, despite previous indications the role would fall to Chris Evans, per HC Zac Taylor.

Fantasy Impact

Williams has a chance to make an impact with the departure of Samaje Perine (signed with Denver). Williams will have to fight for touches with Evans, Joe Mixon, and rookie Chase Brown. Things are pretty murky on the Bengals RB depth chart below Mixon, and Williams is probably not worth a pick in your fantasy draft.

Trayveon Williams believed to have mild ankle sprain

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Cincinnati Bengals RB Trayveon Williams was carted off in practice and is believed to have a mild ankle sprain. He will undergo further testing.

Fantasy Impact

If his initial diagnosis is correct, he will miss a couple weeks with his injury. If so, Williams should be ready to go for the regular season. Williams should be able to have an increased role in the offense in 2023 with RB Semaje Perine in Denver. The fifth-year back has appeared in 34 games in his career and will play as the Bengals’ backup to Joe Mixon alongside Chris Evans and rookie Chase Brown.
