This Week Outlook
Trent Sherfield snared his only target for a 38 yard gain in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Third on the team in Week 6 wide receiver snaps (52 percent), Sherfield managed just one reception off his lone target. With Damiere Byrd rounding back into health after returning against the Falcons, and Christian Kirk nearing a return of his own, Sherfield's fantasy value is on life support. Sherfield should not be on fantasy radars going forward.
Trent Sherfield hauled in one of his three targets for 23 receiving yards in a Week 5 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Sherfield played 95 percent of the Week 5 snaps (second on the team behind Keesean Johnson), but ended up fifth on the team with three targets. Sherfield has been playing in Damiere Byrd’s position, but has yet to see the level of involvement many had posited would be possible for the sophomore receiver out of Vanderbilt. Sherfield can be safely left on the wire in all formats.
Trent Sherfield caught two passes for 23 scoreless yards in Week 17.
The rookie wideout finishes with 19 catches for 210 yards and a touchdown. He started playing more once Christian Kirk went down with a season-ending injury. Sherfield isn't expected to see much run in 2019, however. Arizona will surely make some upgrades to its receiver core.
Trent Sherfield caught all six of his targets for 62 yards in Week 16 versus the Rams.
His 62 receiving yards led the team in this one. The 22-year-old has had some respectable games to close out the season. He could be a DFS dart throw in Week 17 versus the Seahawks.
Trent Sherfield caught three passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in Arizona's Week 15 blowout loss to the Falcons.
Sherfield has been receiving some extended playing time with Christian Kirk and Chad Williams banged up, but he isn't a fantasy option yet. His touchdown came in garbage time and wasn't even thrown by Josh Rosen. Mike Glennon had come into the game in relief. Sherfield can be left on the waiver wire for the fantasy finals next week.
