Trent Sherfield
WR - BUF
2023 Outlook
The Buffalo Bills signed WR Trent Sherfield.
Fantasy Impact
Sherfield posted career-highs in catches (30), yards (417) and touchdowns (2) last season with the Dolphins. He is capable of moving all over the line in the slot and out wide. If he enters the season as the Bills No. 3 wide receiver, he could offer some fantasy value in deeper leagues.
Trent Sherfield recorded two receptions for 30 yards on six targets in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Sherfield tied his season-high in targets on Sunday. However, there wasn't much chemistry with both Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson seeing reps under center. With so many mouths to feed in the Dolphins offense, Sherfield isn't seeing reliable opportunities to be trusted in fantasy. Sherfield is at home in Week 18 when he faces a tough Jets defense.
Tent Sherfield caught both of his targets for 25 receiving yards in the Dolphins' 26-20 Week 16 loss to the Packers.
Fantasy Impact
Sherfield has done little despite receiving at least two targets in four of his last five games, logging just six receptions for 140 receiving yards and one touchdown in that span. The wideout offers little value to fantasy owners and is best left off rosters ahead of a Week 17 contest against the New England Patriots on the road.
Trent Sherfield recorded one reception for seven yards on four targets in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
Sherfield wasn't able to replicate his big play ability from last week on Sunday night. However, the four targets is somewhat encouraging for the 26-year-old. He is now averaging 3.2 targets per game on the year. As long as Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill are both out there running routes, Sherfield won't see enough opportunities to be trusted in lineups. The Dolphins play the Bills in Buffalo on Saturday night in Week 15.
Trent Sherfield recorded one reception for 75 yards and one touchdown on three targets in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Sherfield delivered a 75-yard scamper to the house on the opening play. Unfortunately, he was held to just the one reception. The 26-year-old has recorded 38 targets, 25 receptions, 355 yards, and two touchdowns this season. It's worth monitoring fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle this upcoming week after he was banged up in Sunday's game. If Waddle is limited in anyway, Sherfield would be the next man up. Sherfield has a softer matchup on deck as he plays the Chargers in Los Angeles on Sunday Night Football in Week 14.
