Trevor Williams saw a few defensive snaps on Sunday against the Rams and was promoted to the active roster Thursday. Williams was added for depth when a roster spot opened up after the Eagles placed G Isaac Seumalo on IR this week.

ESPN's Eric Williams reported that Chargers CB Trevor Williams had to be helped off the field after getting tangled up in a drill on Tuesday.

After losing defensive back Jason Verrett for the season just four days ago, this is the last thing the Chargers needed. Williams was a phenomenal player for Los Angeles last year, grading out as a top-10 corner in the league. So far there has been no indication on the severity of the injury, but anything significant would be an absolute blow to a team that has potential Super Bowl prospects.
