Tyler Davis tears his ACL

Tyler Davis tore his ACL in his preseason opener against the Bengals. The 26-year old TE was fighting for the top spot in his respective room.

Fantasy Impact

Davis is going into his third year and expected to get some reps this year. With the Packers TE room as it is, Davis was hoping to show out in camp and become the Packers TE1 this year. Unfortunately, he will now miss the majority, if not all, of the 2023 season.

Tyler Davis hauls in lone target Friday

Tyler Davis secured his one target for seven yards in a win over the Saints Friday.

Fantasy Impact

Davis recorded just four catches for 35 yards in 14 games last season. Unless the Packers choose to carry four TEs in 2022, Davis is not likely to carry any fantasy value.

Tyler Davis set to make NFL debut Thursday vs. Dolphins

Jaguars tight end Tyler Davis is active for the team's Week 3 matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. The rookie had been inactive for the first two weeks of the season with a knee injury.

Fantasy Impact

Davis will be active on Thursday, but he is expected to be the No. 3 tight end behind Tyler Eifert and James O-Shaugnessy. The rookie sixth-round pick is not someone worth rostering in any format until he shows something on the field.

Tyler Davis officially inks four-year rookie deal with Jacksonville

Jaguars sixth-round pick TE Tyler Davis has officially signed his four-year rookie deal with the team.

Fantasy Impact

Johnson joins a Jacksonville squad with a veteran TE in Tyler Eifert and an up-and-comer in Josh Oliver, who the team drafted in the 3rd round just a year ago. Davis is viewed as more of a run-blocking tight end, which could come in handy early on as both Eifert and Oliver are seen as pass-catching tight ends.

Tyler Davis selected No. 206 by Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected tight end Tyler Davis with the No. 206 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Impact

The Jaguars fill a position of need at No. 206 overall, however, the product out of Georgia Tech is more of a run-blocking TE than a pass-catcher. Davis has soft hands when asked to make a catch or two, but he’s mostly a guy that’s utilized in the run game, which is also a very necessary skill on the offensive side of the ball. Solid pickup for the Jaguars in the sixth round.
