Tyler Kroft
TE - MIA
2023 Outlook
The Miami Dolphins signed TE Tyler Kroft Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Kroft is coming off a season with the 49ers where he appeared in 11 games, tallying 57 yards on four receptions. The veteran tight end will likely compete for a backup role on the Dolphins and likely will not have much fantasy value in 2023.
San Francisco TE Tyler Kroft is officially inactive for the Week 6 matchup against Atlanta.
Fantasy Impact
In Kroft's absence, Charlie Woerner and Ross Dwelley will become next in line after George Kittle on the depth chart. Neither of them is worth rostering, so fantasy managers can look elsewhere for TE help.
Tyler Kroft (knee) was limited in practice all week long. He is officially listed as questionable for Week 6 against the Falcons.
Fantasy Impact
Kroft hasn't played since Week 2. Through parts of two games, he amassed just one catch and nine yards. Even if he returns this week, he will fill a depth role behind George Kittle and should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.
Tyler Kroft suffered a sprained MCL in Sunday's game against the Seahawks and is expected to miss a few weeks.
Fantasy Impact
The 49ers are now down their top-two tight ends with George Kittle (groin) also sidelined. There is a chance that Kittle returns in Week 3. If not, it will likely be Ross Dwelley leading the way at tight end for San Francisco against the Broncos.
Tight end Tyler Kroft and the San Francisco 49ers came to an agreement on a one-year deal on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Kroft caught 16 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown across nine games for the Jets last season. He was previously with the Bills and Bengals. He'll provide depth for the 49ers tight end room.
