DE - Las Vegas Raiders
2024 Outlook
The Las Vegas Raiders activated DE Tyree Wilson from the non-football injury list Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Wilson is now eligible to begin practicing with the team. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 draft suffered the foot injury while at Texas Tech and had surgery in November. Wilson will likely need a longer ramp up period as he did not participate in offseason activities.
Tyree Wilson currently has no timetable to return from his foot injury, per head coach Josh McDaniels.
Fantasy Impact
McDaniels added that the team expected this when they drafted Wilson seventh overall in the NFL Draft. Wilson is expected to partner with Maxx Crosby to provide the Raiders with multiple talented pass rushers.
The Raiders placed Tyree Wilson on the non-football injury list Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Wilson is still recovering from the surgery he had in March to remove hardware from a foot surgery that caused him to miss the end of the college football season. The first-round pick will now attempt to rehab and ramp up to be activated before the start of his rookie season.
The Las Vegas Raiders have selected Texas Tech edge rusher Tyree Wilson with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
The Raiders struggled defensively in 2022, and Wilson is an athletic edge rusher who can transform the defense going forward. While Wilson isn't the most refined pass rusher, he has the potential to become a dominant force at the NFL level. The Raiders get someone to line up opposite of star rusher Maxx Crosby.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Texas Tech edge rusher Tyree Wilson is expected to wait until his pro day for drills and testing but may bench at the combine.
Fantasy Impact
Wilson, who is recovering from a foot fracture, shed his boot last month but was only able to work on his bench press with the boot, according to Pelissero. Wilson, who skipped the Senior Bowl, was expected to be a top tester and will have to wait until his pro day to show out for teams. Wilson met with teams at the Senior Bowl and could have meetings again at the NFL Combine.
