Tyron Smith
OL - New York Jets
2024 Outlook
The Jets have agreed to a one-year deal with OT Tyron Smith.
Fantasy Impact
Smith will provide the Jets with much needed help on their offensive line. The 33-year-old has struggled to stay healthy, missing multiple games in each since since 2015.
Veteran OT Tyron Smith, a pending free agent, and the Dallas Cowboys are expected to part ways, with Smith set to be a free agent and "unlikely to return."
Fantasy Impact
Smith has spent 13 seasons in Dallas, starting 161 games while making five All-Pro teams and eight Pro Bowls. One of the best blindside protectors of his generation, Smith has struggled with health in recent years, playing 30 games over the last four seasons and playing 13 or fewer games in each of his previous eight seasons. Plenty of contenders could look to Smith, assuming he doesn't chase what could be the final major paycheck of his career.
Tyron Smith (back) is listed as questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Lions.
Fantasy Impact
Smith missed Week 16's loss to the Dolphins and has been limited at practice this week due to a back issue. Head coach Mike McCarthy stated Friday that he believes Smith "has a good chance" to play this week. QB Dak Prescott was sacked four times in Smith's absence this past Sunday.
Tyron Smith was sidelined at practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Smith opens the week missing back-to-back practices. His status at practice on Thursday will be one to monitor with the Cowboys playing on Saturday against the Lions.
Dallas Cowboys OT Tyron Smith has been ruled out for the Week 4 matchup between the Cowboys and New England Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Smith, who was expected to be available Week 3, did not end up playing despite dressing out. Now he is absent for Week 4, raising suspicion of a potential setback (three DNPs this week). However, OLs Tyler Biadasz and Zack Martin are questionable to play after missing Week 3, potentially bolstering Dallas' front against a talented defense.
