Vinny Curry (hamstring) activated from IR

The Philadelphia Eagles activated DE Vinny Curry from injured reserve on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Curry was on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury and missed the Eagles' first five games. Safety Will Parks was also activated, which will be significant upgrades to the Eagles D/ST that has struggled to produce this year. Curry faces Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in his first game back.

Vinny Curry (hamstring) expected to miss four weeks

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports Eagles DE Vinny Curry (hamstring) is expected to be sidelined for four weeks.

Curry left Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team with the injury. He totaled two tackles and one sack before departing.

Vinny Curry re-signs with the Eagles for one-year, $2M

DE Vinny Curry is re-signing with the Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year, $2M deal.

Fantasy Impact

Curry will get $1.3M guaranteed with sack and playoff incentives that can help him reach $2M. It’ll be Curry’s eighth season with the Eagles. He spent 2018 with Tampa Bay before coming back to Philadelphia in 2019. He had five sacks for the Eagles last season.

Vinny Curry (ankle) out and Carl Nassib (elbow) questionable Week 11

Tampa Bay defensive end Vinny Curry (ankle) is out and defensive end Carl Nassib (elbow) is questionable Week 11 versus the New York Giants.

Fantasy Impact

For IDP owners Curry has missed multiple contests now and has not exactly lived up to being worth owning in leagues when healthy. As for Nassib, he did return to practice Friday wearing a brace on the elbow. He has become a trending IDP player over the last few weeks and could be considered this week for a spot start if he plays against the terrible offensive line that the New York Giants trot out to protect Eli Manning.

Vinny Curry (ankle) out again putting Carl Nassib in play Week 10

Tampa Bay defensive end Carl Nassib will likely make his third start of the season with Vinny Curry out due to an ankle injury.

Fantasy Impact

After being released earlier this season by Cleveland and signing with Tampa Bay, Carl Nassib has received a new lease on his football life becoming a player that even when Curry was active in Week 9 still produced for IDP owners. If the trend continues he may become a real viable pickup for the rest of the season and perhaps for 2019. Vinny Curry currently has an "out" in his contract this coming offseason that Tampa Bay may exercise with Curry not showing he is worth the money he is being paid currently even when he has been healthy. Curry has only recorded eleven combined tackles with one and a half sacks with three tackles for a loss over his six games he has played this season. Carl Nassib has twelve combined tackles, six tackles for a loss, three sacks, and two passes defended with considerably fewer snaps.
