K - ATL
Falcons coach Dan Quinn told reporters that the plan is to add a kicker to the roster in order to provide incumbent K Younghoe Koo with competition ahead of the 2020 season.
Quinn went on to say that it’s been a challenge working out kickers in a virtual environment, thus the reason for not being able to add one to the roster yet. Koo is likely to hold on to his job for the upcoming season, but most teams with young kickers often provide some sort of competition during training camp. Koo went 23-26 on field goals and 15-16 on extra points last season. As a kicker on a good offensive team that plays its home games in a dome, Koo should have lots of chances to produce for fantasy owners this season.
The Falcons have re-signed Younghoe Koo to a one-year deal.
Koo hit 23-of-26 field goal attempts last year and, most notably, was one of the more impressive onside kickers in the league. Once again playing in a dome for an offense with plenty of exciting pieces, Koo should make a startable option in most fantasy leagues in 2020.
Falcons K Younghoe was successful on all five of his field-goal attempts and on his lone extra-point attempt in Sunday's Week 17 win over Tampa Bay.
After a failed stint with the Chargers, Koo exploded onto the fantasy landscape with the Falcons since taking over for Matt Bryant in the second half. One of the most consistent high-floor kickers in fantasy, Koo should continue his success assuming Atlanta retains him for 2020.
Falcons K Younghoe Koo was successful on 1-of-2 field-goal attempts and on all three of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's Week 16 win over the Jaguars.
Koo had another solid outing, but his lone field goal miss hindered his fantasy ceiling. Koo will look to bounce back in Week 17 at the Buccaneers.
Falcons K Younghoe Koo was successful on his lone field-goal attempt and on both of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's Week 15 win over the 49ers.
Koo has been one of the hottest kickers in fantasy since taking over for Matt Bryant in Atlanta. However, while he did not miss a kick, he had a quiet game in a tough matchup. Koo will get back on track in Week 16 against the Jaguars and should be trusted at home in your fantasy championship.
