Seahawks GM John Schneider said RB Zach Charbonnet’s “surgery went very well.”
Fantasy Impact
Schneider said Charbonnet’s “outlook is good.” It remains unclear if he'll be ready to go for the start of the next season. His status will need to be monitored throughout the rest of the offseason.
Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic believes the Seahawks will “probably” use one of their first three picks on a running back.
Fantasy Impact
This report comes after the Seahawks lost Kenneth Walker in free agency, while also missing out on Tyler Allgeier and Rico Dowdle. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo mentioned Rachaad White as a potential fallback option for them as well. They are still likely to both sign a veteran and draft a rookie with Charbonnet slated to miss at least the first part of the season working his way back from a torn ACL.
Zach Charbonnet (ACL) posted on his Instagram account on Monday that he underwent surgery to repair his torn ACL. Though not uncommon, the delay in getting the surgery pushes his recovery clock further into the 2026 season.
Fantasy Impact
Charbonnet is coming off of his best season as a pro, rushing for a career-high 730 yards and a career-best 12 touchdowns for the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks. Charbonnet, unfortunately, missed the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl after suffering his injury in Seattle's 41-6 win over San Francisco in the Divisional Round. The third-year running back has rushed for 1,761 yards and 21 touchdowns in 49 regular season games. With the likelihood that Charbonnet will miss a portion of 2026, the Seahawks' offseason decision at running back now looms even larger.
The Seahawks placed RB Zach Charbonnet on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
Charbonnet tore his ACL in the Seahawks Divisional Round win over the 49ers. Seattle activated George Holani from IR as the corresponding move.
Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet will miss the remainder of the postseason after suffering a "significant" knee injury in the Divisional Round.
Fantasy Impact
Charbonnet had a strong season with 730 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, all career-highs. The third-year running back was a part of a two-man system with Kenneth Walker III, who will take over as the star with Charbonnet out. The injury was later confirmed to be a torn ACL, which could heavily impact Seattle's decision-making this offseason, with Walker set to become a free agent.
