After putting up a dud of a fantasy performance in week one, Courtland Sutton broke back onto the scene with 159 receiving yards in week two on a whopping 12 targets. With Jerry Jeudy out of the lineup, Sutton was able to take advantage of the opportunity and he showcased his top-tier talent play after play. Sutton had an absurd 5.13 Yards Per Route Run in week two and saw a ridiculous 136 Air Yards to go with a 35.3% target share. While he might have done this on your bench due to the unknowns after his week one performance, Sutton belongs back in your starting lineup this week against the Jets. Sutton is expected to draw coverage from Brandin Echols this week, who is being targeted on 15% of his routes covered and is no match for someone of Sutton's talent level. Sutton can be viewed as a low-end WR2 this week.

I faded Sutton during draft season because I wasn't sure how well his vertical skill set would pair with Teddy Bridgewater, who's never been one to make a lot of high-risk throws deep downfield. That may have been a mistake. With Jerry Jeudy out with a high-ankle sprain, Sutton went off last week, catching 10 of 15 targets for 173 yards and piling up 258(!) air yards. It was quite a performance, and Sutton is poised for a satisfying encore against an inexperienced group of Jets cornerbacks. Consider him a midrange WR2 this week. He's a top-10 WR value on DraftKings, too, where he's priced at only $6,000.

Sutton had a monster game last week with 12 targets, 9 receptions, and 159 yards. He should be an upside WR2 against the Jets 3rd ranked fantasy wide receiver defense that has not had to play a strong opponent this year.

It's temping to label Sutton as a "sell" since his value might never be higher, but it would only make sense to make a move if you have the receiver depth to pull it off. Sutton saw 258 air yards in Week 2, which was more than any player had in a game last season. Also, sans Jerry Jeudy, Sutton's target share increased from 8.6% to 35.3% in Week 2. He's the alpha in Denver moving forward. The Broncos face the Jets in Week 3.
