RB - KC
One of the better insurance RBs in all of fantasy football this season is going to be Williams. With Le'Veon Bell and Damien Williams both out of town, Williams should not only see some work on his own, but he holds incredible upside if CEH were to miss time. I'm attempting to snag Williams with one of my last picks everywhere this off-season.
It's kind of crazy how fall Williams falls in drafts considering the offense he plays in. Should anything happen to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Williams would step into a 15-touch role and be an every-week starter. He has very little until that happens, but that can be said about many handcuffs available. If you play in a league that has eight bench spots, Williams should have a spot at the end of it.
With Damien Williams returning in 2021 after opting out last season, it's reasonable to wonder whether the Chiefs can afford to sign restricted free agent to a new contract. While Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darwin Thompson have both looked sufficient in their respective roles, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Andy Reid wants the reliable experience and pass-catching expertise of Darrel Williams and I'd expect him to return to KC. Even if he doesn't though, he should still pick up a backup role somewhere as he's now shown well and truly enough to warrant more work. That doesn't make him a valuable dynasty asset though, as he lacks the qualities to be a workhorse back in nearly all circumstances.
