Roger McCreary graded out as the No. 1 cornerback in the nation per PFF in 2021 - forcing 13 incomplete passes while in coverage. And although he excels in press coverage, the rumor is that NFL teams view him more as a slot cornerback with sub-29" arms (0th percentile).

That might knock him down slightly in the draft based on teams that need a slot cornerback. But make no mistake that he will bring his top-tier coverage skills with him when aligned inside. On 26 slot coverage snaps in 2021 he allowed just one catch. It's a small sample size, but McCreary's body of work foreshadows a smooth transition to the slot.
