Austin Calitro is claimed off waivers by Bengals
The Bengals had first priority on waiver claims and used it to pick up the athletic linebacker, Austin Calitro.
Calitro has only been in the league since 2017 but will suit up for his sixth team in 2020. After signing with the Jets as an undrafted free agent, a few practice squad stints, and a full 2018 season for the Seahawks, Calitro had a breakout 2019 season where he started the final four games for the Jaguars and recorded 32 tackles and one sack over that span. While he's still a pretty raw player, his athleticism has been noted by a lot of scouts and he may work his way into the starting lineup by Week 1 if he's able to wrangle the duties away from Logan Wilson.
