View More NotesI don't know what's more surprising: the fact that the Bengals won their season opener, or the fact that they did it relying on their defense. This was a different style of Bengals team than we have become used to. Thankfully, this didn't change a lot for Brown. Finishing with 16 carries, six targets, and one touchdown, he remains firmly in the RB1 mix. This offense should see better days; however, they face a tough task against the Texans this week. The Texans should be one of the league's best defences; however, they allowed 36 points to the Bills last week. That said, despite allowing 36 points, they held James Cook to 69 scoreless yards. Brown will see enough opportunity to come through for fantasy; however, expectations need to be tempered this week. I believe he is more of a high-end RB2 than RB1 in this matchup.

Brown did not have the most efficient afternoon, but it still got the job done for fantasy managers. He draws a tougher matchup in Week 2 against the Texans.
