Overall, an intriguing developmental prospect that has the size and movement skills you love to see at the OT position. Shows good pass protection instincts, but lacks the overall refinement right now that could struggle against NFL caliber pass rushers. Good physical presence in the run game, especially on zone runs. Excellent out on lead blocks and able to carry his weight well and get out in front and run with his ball-carrier. Struggles with keeping defenders off his body. Often times will invite contact and bring a defender into his body. Needs to work on fighting off contact and keeping his body clean. Against bigger and stronger NFL defenders, he could get easily knocked off balance if he brings that contact in close to the chest. Good balance shown on tape, but as mentioned before, that could struggle as he sees bigger, faster, stronger defenders. Still very raw with hand technique. Is going to be very susceptible to swipe moves at the next level. Good athlete overall, but struggles to pop out of his stance and get a favorable position. Will need to improve on that at the next level. Tough player that does fight hard nearly every snap. Solid anchor ability, but this could be due to lack of top-tier opponents. But has the size to not be moved off of his mark if he can improve on his hand technique. Darrisaw is an intriguing tools prospect, but one that might need a year or two before he reaches his ceiling.
