Humphrey's a solid center prospect that shows the versatility to be able to play any of the interior positions on the line. He's a solid athlete, not spectacular, but shows enough quickness to not be a liability against quicker interior rushers. He's able to snap the ball and get out of his stance quick enough to get to the right shoulder of the DT and shield them off to create the proper running lane. Won't be asked to pull multiple gaps frequently due to his lack of top-end athleticism, but would be fine in that capacity from time to time. Struggles from time to time to recognize incoming blitzers and/or loops/stunts. Could be due to lack of communication at the line pre-snap, but failed to pick up a critical blitzing LB against Florida. Tremendous anchor ability on tape. Very hard to move backwards off his spot. Good hand technique and good length too. Able to engage with defenders and essentially eliminate them from the play. Solid balance. Very rarely moved side to side. Good run blocker and understands positioning and how to create running lanes by getting on the outside shoulder of a defender. Very rarely climbs to the second level, but shows good spatial awareness on those instances. Solid in pass protection due to his solid anchor ability. He's unlikely to move anyone backwards, but is more than capable of holding his ground. Overall, Humphrey's not a flashy interior prospect, but he's extremely solid. He'd step in and help anchor an offensive line from day one. Most likely a day 2 pick.
