David Harris cut by Jets
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the New York Jets are releasing linebacker David Harris on Tuesday.
Harris, who is entering his 11th season in the NFL -- all with the Jets -- was cut by the club Tuesday afternoon. The veteran linebacker shouldn't linger on the open market for long, however. He is one of the top players at his position on the field and a team leader off of it. Expect him to land with a new team in time for training camp or even sooner. Harris' release -- like Brandon Marshall, Darrelle Revis and Nick Mangold's -- fully indicates that the Jets are in full rebuilding mode moving forward.
