Dexter Lawrence II signs four-year extension
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the New York Giants and DT Dexter Lawrence II have reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension worth $90 million.
Lawrence gets the same totals and years as NFC East contemporary Daron Payne, giving him the third-highest APY by a DT in the NFL. Lawrence earned every bit of the contract with a stellar 2022 season, earning All-Pro honors with a statistically dominant performance. The 25-year-old defensive tackle totaled 7.5 sacks on 36 pressures from the interior, adding on 68 tackles and seven tackles for loss as well. Lawrence was crucial to the Giants' defense as the team made a run into the postseason.
