General manager John Idzik commented on the situation: "I think what we’re going to do now is he will be suspended indefinitely. That will give us a little time to gather more information around what led to his behavior. I think that way, we feel like we’ll make a very well-informed decision as to what discipline will be forthcoming. And there will be discipline involved."
Fantasy Impact
Things aren't looking good for Patterson. Although he was a projected starter for New York, he was hardly spectacular in training camp. This could affect his place on the team, and eliminate what little fantasy value he had to begin with. Patterson is someone you'll want to avoid in IDP leagues, even if he does end up starting Week 1.
