S - CLE
Expert NoteView More Notes
Overall, a competitive player who loves contact. Best fit is as a strong safety at the NFL level, in where he'd be allowed to operate near the LOS. Possesses adequate coverage ability, but is at his best in sniffing out the run and delivering a solid shot. Got lost at several points throughout the games in 2019, but could have been because of how deep he was lined up. Always popped when he was asked to stop the run.

Grant Delpit selected No. 44 by Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns have selected safety Grant Delpit with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after acquiring the pick from the Indianapolis Colts.
The long, rangy LSU safety heads to Cleveland, who upgrades dramatically at a position of need with this pick. A consensus All-American in both 2018 and 2019, Delpit was a three-year starter at LSU. His skills will enable him to transition well at the next level and he should make an immediate impact with the Browns.
