Overall, a tweener prospect who may be too big for the position he best succeeds in in the NFL. At 289 pounds, Lynch is most likely going to be asked to play a 3-tech position, but he struggles to create interior pressure. Lacks true explosiveness off the LOS and struggles to make anything happen once an OG gets his hands on him. Lacks the upper body strength to extend his arms and walk a player backwards, but also lacks the hand technique or twitch to make them miss in a phone booth. Offers little upside as a run defender, but offers upside as an outside pass rusher. Most likely a fit for a 5-tech, which is where the majority of his sacks came from. Has great speed and bend around the edge for a player his size and consistently got home around OTs. However, he's too big to play that position now unless a 4-3 team is comfortable with him being that size at EDGE. May be a late round pick that a NFL team asks for him to cut weight significantly to play on the edge.
