QB - NYJ
Week 7 Outlook
Expert NoteView More Notes
Overall, an intriguing developmental QB out of a small school. Good frame and has a live arm. Great arm strength to be able to fit it into tight windows and in between zones. Stands tall in the pocket and has good accuracy downfield when given time. Throws bullets all over the field and rarely throws with touch. Would rather zip it in on a line drive than float it in in some instances. Decent mechanics, but can consistently end up with poor foot placement and opens his hips too much. Results in high throws and inaccuracy downfield. Does not trust his OL. Consistently drifting back and failing to step up into the pocket or drifting away from the pocket. Will be a good option for a team to develop him behind a starter, but will need time to adjust to the NFL level before being put out on the field.

James Morgan signs rookie deal with the Jets
Fourth-round pick QB James Morgan has signed his four-year, $4M contract with the New York Jets.
The Jets struggled mightily on offense last season when Sam Darnold was out due to mono, so it’s no surprise they went out and took a quarterback in the fourth-round of the NFL Draft. He’ll likely compete for the backup job in New York right away.
