Owusu-Koramoah is one of the most exciting players in this 2021 NFL Draft class. He's a smart and instinctive linebacker that has ridiculous range. He's constantly around the football and making big time plays. He shows some inconsistent tackling from time to time and needs to work on finishing plays, but he's constantly in the fray. Struggles to rid blocks at the second level, which could be due to his lack of size. He's a smaller LB that will be best served in a hybrid scheme that will use him primarily in the open field. Incredibly tough player and plays with a ridiculous motor. Constantly moving and disrupting opposing offenses. Sticky and smooth in coverage. Able to fluidly drop back and stick with much smaller receivers and make plays on the ball. Smart in zone coverage too. Excellent lateral mobility and able to fly around the field making plays sideline to sideline. Excellent top-end speed and acceleration. Able to close in on defenders in the blink of an eye. Able to flip his hips naturally and change direction with ease. Overall, an incredibly talented defender that will need to land with a hybrid scheme and one that will move him around consistently, but if that happens, he could be one of the better defensive players in the entire NFL.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah selected No. 52 by Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have selected LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Impact

Trading up with the Carolina Panthers to get to the No. 52 overall pick, the Cleveland Browns targeted Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah as the latest addition to their strong defensive unit. He's a twitchy hybrid linebacker-safety, allowing the Browns to drop him into coverage or rush him off the edge to rack up TFLs. The energetic and passionate Owusu-Koramoah is the second defensive selection for Cleveland in the draft, bringing intensity and making receivers and backs hesitant to cross the middle of the field on a route. The winner of the 2020 Butkus Award finished his senior season with 62 tackles, 11 TFLs, and three forced fumbles to wreak havoc all over the gridiron at the collegiate level. His skillset and motor will provide the spark needed to engage tight ends and big-bodied wideouts operating out of the slot.
