Jermaine Carter making strong impression for Carolina
The fifth-round rookie has caught the attention of the Carolina Panthers thru his play the first two preseason contests. His work ethic is a notable attribute, per reports. So much so that Luke Kuelchy named him as a stand out when asked that question.
Ironically, at the moment it looks like Carter has the momentum to outplay incumbent back up for Kuechly, David Mayo. If he backs up Kuechly then Kuechly's IDP owners may want to have an eye on Carter just in case of the concussion risks involved. The rookie's presence could very well also be a deciding factor in contract talks with both Thomas Davis and Shaq Thompson in 2019.
