OG - DET
Week 7 Outlook
Expert NoteView More Notes
Overall, a good iOL prospect who has a high IQ. Long arms and good size for the position. Good at climbing to the second level and out in space. Good hand placement and great at handling stunts and recognizing them. Struggles with leverage on zone runs. Unable to get ahead of the defender and will often lose his zone. Can be lazy occasionally with footwork and balance and lose mirroring ability to a iDL with good technique. Stout in pass protection, but needs to widen base. An intriguing option for teams in round 2.

Jonah Jackson selected No. 75 by Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions have selected guard Jonah Jackson with the No. 75 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after acquiring the pick from the Indianapolis Colts.
The Detroit Lions liked what they saw in Jonah Jackson enough to warrant trading up for him to ensure they did not miss out on their target. A powerful blocker who excels in the passing game, Jackson is the rare prospect who is more advanced in protection than as a run blocker. He will likely start his career as a swing option along the interior, but could mature into a starter level option once he improves his bend and leverage in the run game.
