Josh Brent impresses in return to play
Josh Brent played his first NFL game since 2012 on Thursday night and impresses the coaching staff.
Brent participated in 22 snaps against the Bears and added two tackles in the 41-28 win. Head coach Jason Garrett commented on his strength at the point of attack and his introduction to the roster is critical. Brent may be just what the Cowboys pass rush needs, as he is a big body in the middle that could occupy offensive linemen, allowing the pass rush to properly function. DeMarcus Lawrence will also play against the Eagles on Sunday night as the Cowboys look to generate a pass rush against an Eagles offensive line that allows the eighth least sacks in the NFL with 21.
