DE - NE
Expert NoteView More Notes
Overall, an incredibly athletic player for his size. Able to fly around and make plays and is extremely fluid when dropping back into coverage. Has the necessary traits you look for in a pass rusher, but lacks refined technique or a plan when getting after the QB. Will often simply engage with the OT and try to bull rush his way through, which won't work at his size. Needs to learn how to stack pass rush moves, but if/when he does, he could be an extremely valuable asset to a defense. Has potential, but also has questions about his best fit in a NFL defense. Could be an EDGE in a 3-4, but could also be a heavier SAM in a 4-3. His draft stock will depend on where NFL teams value him and see him playing at the next level.

Josh Uche, the 60th overall pick, signs a four-year deal with the Patriots
Former Michigan DE/LB Josh Uche, the 60th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has signed a four-year deal with the New England Patriots.
Uche was a two-year starter for the Wolverines, recording a combined 15.5 sacks in 2018 and 2019. He’s been dubbed as a guy who works really hard on his craft and is constantly learning and taking in information. He’s a prototypical Belichick-type guy and could see some action at both the inside and outside linebacker positions with the Patriots this season.
