J.P. Holtz signs exclusive rights free agent tender with Chicago
Bears TE J.P. Holtz has signed his exclusive rights free agent tender and will return to Chicago for the 2020 season.
Holtz has been a part of three organizations in his three years in the NFL, Cleveland, Washington, and most recently Chicago. In his career, he’s caught just seven passes for 91 yards. He played some fullback and contributed on special teams last year for the Bears. Chicago announced they released TE Trey Burton, so maybe they are pleased with what they’re getting from Holtz as a 3rd or 4th string TE that can play both on offense and special teams.
