Kalija Lipscomb signs as a UDFA with the Chiefs
Vanderbilt WR Kalija Lipscomb has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent.
The four-year receiver at Vanderbilt was projected to hear his name called in round 6 or 7, but when he didn’t, the Chiefs quickly pounced on Lipscomb after the Draft. After having a very good junior year in 2018, with 87 catches for 916 yards and nine TDs, his production dropped off a bit in 2019 with subpar quarterback play. He’s got all the tools to compete at the next level, but he joins a crowded and talented group of WRs in Kansas City. He should at least be able to learn a lot from them as well as QB Patrick Mahomes. Lipscomb has his work cut out for him if he wants to make the team this upcoming season.
