Kenny Phillips retires from the NFL
Former New York Giants S Kenny Phillips retired from the NFL this offseason after eight seasons in the league. Phillips noted that injuries and pain are what drove him to make his decision to walk away from football.
Kenny Phillips played for the New York Giants from 2008 to 2012 before sitting out the next two years due to injury. In 2015, he attempted an NFL comeback with the Saints and played in three contests before injuries sidelined him once again. The former first-round pick of the 2008 NFL Draft finished his playing career with 275 tackles and eight interceptions.
