Barron, a former first round selection, rejuvenated his career a couple years ago by successfully transitioning from safety to linebacker when joining the Rams. This said, he's undersized for a linebacker and may struggle to adapt to playing inside in the team's new 3-4 defensive scheme. This said, I'd be surprised if he were able to reach 90 solo tackles again this season.

Barron has a relatively quiet night.

Mark Barron had seven tackles with five of them being solo and two of them being assisted. However, he had a relatively quiet night in the sense that he did not have any turnovers or sacks.

Fantasy Impact

Since Lovie Smith puts a ton of focus into forcing turnovers, I'm sure that both fantasy owners and Smith were disappointed in the Bucs' lack of production against a backup QB. Since the Bucs have undergone a couple makeovers in the offseason it makes sense that it might take a couple of games for the Bucs to start generating turnovers. But, until then, Barron should be a match-up based fantasy play.
