OT - NYG
Expert NoteView More Notes
Overall, a fluid and large athlete at the RT position. Has good length for the position and excels when moving out in space to pick up blocks. Good kickset, but played primarily in a 3-point stance and was asked to engage at the LOS. Maintains a wide base, but could stand to add more weight to his frame to give him an even more solid base. Struggles to maintain location of his hands when engaged in contact. Will lose his hands and absorb defenders right into his body. Needs to work on fighting away defenders hands and maintaining his proper hand placement. The level of competition will prevent him from being a top-tier OT in this class, but showed potential.

Matt Peart selected No. 99 by New York Giants
The New York Giants have selected offensive lineman Matt Peart with the No. 99 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Matt Peart is an intriguing swing tackle prospect. He has all the tools to become a starter, but will need to clean up his technique, and develop a mean streak to become an above average option. Peart is someone who could provide spot starts early in his career, but will likely not develop into a good starter until he adds functional power with the help of a NFL strength and conditioning coach. He could turn into a solid starter in two or three years time.
