Maurice Jones-Drew announces retirement
After playing nine seasons in the NFL, eight with Jacksonville and the last with Oakland, Maurice Jones-Drew announced his retirement through Twitter. The three-time Pro Bowler led the league in rushing in 2011.
With the release of Darren McFadden and the retirement news of MJD, the Raiders currently have one running back on the roster, Latavius Murray. The size/speed combo of Murray combined with the up-tempo spread attack of Bill Musgrave portends great things for Murray next year. Before we anoint him the next fantasy stud, we must wait to see what GM McKenzie does to address the position in free agency and the draft.
