Nate Solder: New York Giants agree in principle to a reworked deal
New York Giants LT Nate Solder has agreed in principle to a reworked deal to stay with the organization in 2021, as reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Solder will reportedly stay in New York for 2021, continuing to play at left tackle on a restructured contract barring any last-minute changes with negotiations. The Giants released Pro-Bowl guard Kevin Zeitler earlier in the week, a move done to stay under the league's reduced salary cap for the upcoming season. Solder was willing to restructure his contract to ensure a return to his starting role at left tackle, giving the Giants money back to help with further development of the offense in 2021.
