Roche's a dynamic athlete that has a ton of upside as a standup rusher. He's a bit undersized for the EDGE position in the NFL, but his lack of size means that he's that much more agile and quick. Wins with speed over power and still has the arm length to keep his chest clean. Solid hand technique and has very active hands. Constantly looking to swipe away the blockers hands and compliment it with his speed and agility. Not only can win on the outside, but also uses his hands well to set up inside pass rush moves and then driving his legs to generate positioning. Great first step explosiveness and able to get upfield quickly. Won't be a dynamic presence against the run, but is able to stand his own and contribute from time to time. More of a pass rusher than anything else. Plays with a good motor and consistently is getting home to the QB on tape. Needs to improve tackling and wrap up ability, but this is a minor thing that can be worked out. Smart player and shows that he's worked hard on honing his craft already with his pass rush technique. Good bend around the edge and able to take advantage of his pass rush moves and compliment it with gaining positioning. Overall, Roche might not have the size to be a full-time EDGE presence in the NFL, but the production and tools/traits are all there for him to be a factor on obvious passing downs. Will need to be used as a 3-4 OLB that can drop into coverage smoothly. Talented player.
