A fantastic iOL prospect that brings versatility to a NFL offense. Has the experience playing Tackle, but should be moved into Guard due to length concerns. Either way, he's going to help elevate a OL as soon as he touches the field. Incredibly athletic for his size and a smooth mover out in space. Able to climb to the second level or pull across the formation easily and naturally. Very smart player. Able to diagnose quickly whether or not his pre-snap assignment is coming. If it's not, quickly moves off of it and finds the next player almost immediately. Solid base and anchor nearly every player. He's rarely moved off of his foundation and has a solid center of gravity. Excellent hand technique. Able to quickly reset if he does have to counterattack a players' first move and gets his hands back first to essentially eliminate the defender from the play. Incredible balance for his size and should be able to succeed in any scheme. Good in run blocking and will excel in a zone run scheme or one that asks him to climb to the second level repeatedly. Tremendous in pass protection and rarely allows a defender to get around him. Doesn't possess much power to his game, but relies on his agility and finesse. Should be off the board as one of the first interior offensive lineman and has a chance to play Tackle at the next level too.

Rashawn Slater agrees to terms on four-year deal with Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers rookie OL Rashawn Slater has reportedly agreed to terms on a four-year, fully guaranteed deal with the team on Tuesday, per Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Impact

Slater was selected as the 13th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and is projected to be the starting left tackle for the Chargers when Week 1 arrives. Quarterback Justin Herbert enters his second season after taking the league by storm with an impressive rookie season that saw him finish as the QB9 in half-PPR formats. With the official signing of Slater, Herbert could become a top-five fantasy quarterback with his blindside more secured, buying him more time to read through his progressions in the pocket.
