Pittsburgh doesn’t currently have a QB under contract for 2025 until now, with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields both being upcoming free agents. The expectation is one of Wilson or Fields will resign with the Steelers, but it’s not known who at the time of writing. Either way, Thompson isn’t a needle mover but he at least gives them some depth and a QB available for offseason work.
