OT - BUF
Week 3 Outlook
Expert NoteView More Notes
Brown is a ridiculous athlete at RT for his size. He moves like he's 5 inches shorter and 60 pounds lighter and it's incredible to watch. He is simply so much better than everyone else at his level of competition and he barely has to try to be dominant on the football field. Tremendous length and size and could thrive immensely on an outside zone scheme. Has the athleticism to pop out of a three-point stance and get on the outside shoulder very easily or out even further and be a lead blocker. Will have a significant competition jump, but the traits and tools are all there for Brown to be a solid OT in the NFL for a long time. It will all come down to whether or not he can become comfortable while he goes through growing pains.

Spencer Brown selected No. 93 by Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills have selected OT Spencer Brown with the No. 93 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The massive, 6'8" Brown was clearly drafted as a developmental project by the Bills. The 22-year old from Northern Iowa had his 2020 season postponed due to COVID-19 but his tape from 2019 indicates a bruising giant that has quick hands and great power when sealing run blocks. The Bills don't have perennial All-Pro linemen protecting QB Josh Allen, so perhaps head coach Sean McDermott can expedite Brown's learning curve while adapting him to the speed of the NFL. The former defensive end and tight end packed on significant weight to convert to tackle, which is a valuable experience that he can use to his benefit when faced against stronger edge rushers.
