Trent Williams reportedly staying with SF on 6-yr, $138M deal
According to sources, LT Trent Williams will re-sign with the San Francisco 49ers on a new six-year, $138M deal - making him the highest-paid offensive lineman in history.
Williams played 14 games for the Niners last year and finished with a strong 91.9 PFF rating. The Niners' run game continues to be the bedrock of their offense, and locking up the 10-year veteran was necessary to maintain their dominant front. On the new deal, Williams receives a $55.1M guaranteed contract which includes a hefty $30.1M signing bonus. The best offensive lineman in free agency is officially off-the-market.
