Shelvin is a mammoth of an interior defensive lineman. At 350 pounds, he fits the profile perfectly of a 0-tech in a 3-4 or he could even kick out to a 2-tech in a 4-3. Solid first step quickness for his size and is able to get up and around blockers more quickly than they would expect. Able to anchor well and stuff gaps and free things up for everyone else on the defensive front. Can get bullied out of the play on outside zone runs where he's not able to get his foundation, but that's to be expected. Has enough strength to simply bully smaller offensive lineman out of the way. More of a 1st and 2nd down player, but does show the upside and skills to rush the passer, if needed. He's an opt out player, so it's been a while since we've seen him on the field, but he has the potential to be a high impact player for a team that needs size up front and help defending the run.
