Expert
Derek Brown FantasyPros	Drake Maye had a wonderful breakout season last year as the QB3 in fantasy points per game, and he could equal or surpass that this season. This offseason, New England gave Maye new weapons that could take this offense to another level with the additions of Romeo Doubs and A.J. Brown. The Pats were ninth in neutral passing rate last season and could bump that up some more with Doubs and Brown in town. I'm painting the fever dream outcome for Maye, but none of this is impossible or even improbable. Maye will continue to add fantasy points weekly with his legs on top of the passing upside. Last year, Maye was 12th in rushing yards per game and seventh in red zone carries per game among quarterbacks. As a passer, he was outstanding, ranking first in yards per attempt, seventh in highly accurate throw rate, eighth in hero throw rate, and fourth in fantasy points per dropback (per Fantasy Points Data). Maye should be considered a strong top-five fantasy quarterback option with the ability to push Josh Allen for the QB1 spot if everything goes his way in 2026.
Andrew Erickson FantasyPros		Baker Mayfield was averaging 18.5 PPG Weeks 1-11 (QB10). Got hurt in Week 12. 14.2 PPG to end the season in the last 7 weeks. Mayfield seems like a logical bounce-back candidate in 2026, with better injury luck to Tampa's offensive line and WRs. Even so, use Mayfield's 2025 season as a reason to fade outlier passing TD rates. 7.2% in 2024 was well above his career average (5.0). Posted a 4.8% TD rate in 2025.
Pat Fitzmaurice FantasyPros	In only his second NFL season, Drake Maye finished QB2 in fantasy scoring, averaging 21.1 fantasy points per game. Maye was sublime as a passer last year, leading the NFL in completion percentage (72.0%), yards per pass attempt (8.9) and passer rating (113.5). Maye finished a close second in the MVP balloting behind the Rams' Matthew Stafford. Aided by the tailwinds of a favorable regular-season schedule, Maye produced 4,394 passing yards and 31 TD passes. He also chipped in as a runner with 450 rushing yards and four TD runs - and his bountiful college rushing stats suggest there's still more meat on that bone. Maye got a rude wakeup call in the playoffs, completing 58.3% of his throws and averaging 207 passing yards per game and 6.9 yards per attempt in a four-game run against the Chargers, Texans, Broncos and Seahawks - all among the best pass defenses in the league. Despite the sour ending, Maye's second NFL season was a triumph. He's a top-five fantasy quarterback moving forward.	This is a crossroads year for Baker Mayfield, who went from QB3 in fantasy points per game in 2024 to QB19 last season. Mayfield's completion percentage fell from 71.4% in 2024 to 63.2% in 2025. He went from 7.9 yards per pass attempt in 2024 to 6.8 yards per attempt in 2025. Injuries may have been at least partly to blame. WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin each missed about half the season. WR Emeka Egbuka started fast, then hurt his hamstring and fell off dramatically. The Buccaneers' offensive line was banged up early in the season. Mayfield himself dealt with a shoulder injury. Mayfield had a good season with Dave Canales as his playcaller in 2023 and an even better season with Liam Coen as his playcaller in 2024. Mayfield had a disappointing 2025 season in tandem with Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard. Now he gets his fourth playcaller in as many seasons, new Buccaneers offensive coordinator Zac Robinson. A bounce-back season for the 31-year-old Mayfield is entirely possible, but we probably shouldn't assume he'll return to his 2023-2024 form.
