| Andrew Erickson FantasyPros | Weeks 1-10: Jacobs was the RB5 in PPG (18.1) with 11 rushing TDs. Then he suffered a knee injury in Week 11. Once he returned in Week 13, he was clearly not himself. RB23 in PPG (10.5). 12 PPG (RB21) from Week 7 onward after hurting his calf. Ended the season as RB11 in PPG (14.3). The Packers RB fell just shy of 1,000 rushing yards despite 254 carries, taking a step back in his second season with Green Bay. If healthy, Jacobs has a top-5 fantasy ceiling. But as the 28-year-old continues to pile up volume and small injuries, fantasy managers should be wary of the production tapering off. | Romeo Doubs lands in a much more pass-heavy offensive environment after signing with New England, where he should have a larger opportunity than he ever consistently received in Green Bay. The veteran receiver quietly improved his efficiency over the last two seasons while maintaining strong red-zone involvement and reliable weekly usage. Doubs has recorded two seasons with at least seven receiving TDs, while also commanding 17 or more red-zone targets in multiple seasons. Doubs may never develop into a true alpha WR1, but Drake Maye and Josh McDaniels could help unlock the most productive stretch of his career. He profiles as a solid WR3/FLEX option with touchdown upside in an ascending Patriots offense. |
| Derek Brown FantasyPros | Josh Jacobs has been the RB8 and RB9 in fantasy points per game during his two seasons in Green Bay. he dealt with a knee injury last season, which impacted his snap share and effectiveness. Last year, after Week 6, he surpassed 60% of the snaps in only two games. I wouldn't be surprised to see Green Bay limit his playing time to an extent this year to keep him healthy all year, but that's just a projection. I also wouldn't be shocked to see them run him out there for 70-80% of the snaps weekly if his body can hold up. Last year, he ranked 22nd in explosive run rate and 19th in missed tackle rate (per Fantasy Points Data). Jacobs' touchdown equity in the Green Bay offense has helped him a ton over the last two seasons, as he has averaged 15 total touchdowns per season while ranking ninth and fifth in red zone touches. Jacobs is a top 20 back with RB1 upside in 2026. | Romeo Doubs lands with the New England Patriots and should be Drake Maye's clear WR2 behind A.J. Brown. He should see a volume bump with the Pats, simply moving from an offense that was 30th in neutral passing rate last year (Green Bay) to one that was ninth in neutral passing rate. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats increase their neutral passing rate this season, either with the arrival of Brown and Doubs and Drake Maye having another year in Josh McDaniels' offensive system. Also add in Green Bay's love of rotating receivers and Doubs 72.8% route share last year, and it's not difficult to see Doubs being a late-round value. Last year, Doubs was the WR43 in fantasy points per game with five weeks in weekly scoring as a top 25 fantasy wideout. Last year, among 109 qualifying wide receivers, Doubs was 36th in target per route run rate, 31st in yards per route run, 18th in first downs per route run, and 27th in fantasy points per route run (per Fantasy Points Data). Also among those 109 receivers, Doubs was 23rd in separation and fifth in route win rate. He's primed to explode this season with WR2/3 upside if everything goes right. |
