Sami Vatanen collects assist in Devils loss

Sami Vatanen notched his 11th assist of the season on Egor Iakovlev’s goal in the 2nd period of the Devils 5-1 loss to Tampa on Monday night.
Fantasy Impact:
Sami Vatanen, when healthy, is an offensive asset at the defenseman position. Vatanen put up a couple of high-30 point total seasons while a member of the Anaheim Ducks. Vatanen still has that potential but needs to stay healthy to accomplish that. Vatanen, as always, is on the second power play unit so he will have the opportunity to utilize his skills fully. On the season, Vatanen has 1 goal and 10 assist through 23 games. Vatanen should be good for around 30 points for the season and has value in medium to deep fantasy leagues.
