Pavel Francouz slotted as Avalanche back-up

Pavel Francouz will serve as the number two goalie in Colorado next year as the Avs lost Semyon Varlamov to the New York Islanders as an RFA.
Fantasy Impact:
Philipp Grubauer seized the opportunity last year and ran away with the starting gig. He was a big reason why the Avalanche were in the playoffs and did as well they did. We're not entirely certain if Grubauer will see the vast majority of starts but it's likely, based on his play last year and Francouz' new NHL surroundings.
