Williams Nylander picks up two points in win over L.A.

by Brendan Ballantyne | Maple Leafs Correspondent | Tue, Nov 5th 10:21pm EST

William Nylander scored his fourth goal of the season and added an assist in Toronto's 3-1 win over the Kings on Tuesday. He skated 16:11 and had a +2 rating.

Fantasy Impact:

It was about time Nylander found the back of the net. The smooth skating Swede had fired 23 shots on goal in his last 11 games prior to Tuesday but had only potted one in that span. Nylander showed some great chemistry with Auston Matthews in this one, as the pair scored and assisted on each others goals that were scored just thirty seconds apart in the third period. This was Nylander's first multi-point performance of this season, yet he's still managed to post a decent 11 points (four goals, seven assists) through 16 games. More offence is expected from the 23-year-old, but this game could be the spark that he needed.
