Another injury for the Avalanche

Nathan Mackinnon will be sidelined for three weeks due to a lower-body injury according to Jared Bednar. He suffered the injury in a 4-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Fantasy Impact:
Mackinnon is the latest to catch some of the injury rash that's going around in Colorado. He is the newest addition to the Avs injury report which has included Mikko Rantanen, Cale Makar, Valeri Nichushkin, Andre Burakovsky and Devon Toews. Not good news for teams that took Mackinnon in the first round. Hopefully he will hit the IR and can be stashed. If he comes with an "Out" designation he can only be held with an "IR+" position. JT Compher will more than likely fill in on the top line in his absence and Alex Newhook has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles. Mackinnon has produced one goal and ten points so far this season.
