Alexandar Georgiev turned away 36 of the 39 shots he faced, backstopping the Avalanche to a 6-3 road victory over the Minnesota Wild. He finished the game with a .929 save percentage.
Fantasy Impact:
Georgiev had to deal with two getting passed him via Kirill Kaprizov. The first one got through on a delayed penalty and was a one-time shot from the high slot. The second was on the powerplay and banked off Devon Toews skates and in. Through two starts in an Avalanche uniform he's won both games and has a .903 save percentage with 56 shots against. It's expected that him and Pavel Francouz will be sharing starts this year.
