Martin Jones strong in net Wednesday against Ducks

by Chris Schommer | Maple Leafs Correspondent | Thu, Jan 4th 8:38pm EST

Martin Jones was strong in net for the Maple Leafs Wednesday night, stopping 27 of 28 shots faced in a 2-1 overtime win over the Ducks.

Fantasy Impact:

Jones continues a solid stretch in the crease of late for the Maple Leafs, allowing two goals or less in four of his last five games (3-2-0) for the club. The veteran netminder should continue to receive the majority of work between the pipes with fellow netminders Joseph Woll (injury) and Ilya Samsonov (demotion) sidelined, posting a .930 save percentage and 2.20 GAA in 10 appearances (6-3-0) between the pipes so far this season.
